Carnival and Royal Caribbean Fender Bender
Carnival officials have confirmed that their ship Carnival Legend ‘bumped’ into Royal Caribbean’s Enchantment of the Seas, which was docked at Cozumel in Mexico, last Wednesday 30th September 2009.
According to a company statement, extremely strong winds pushed the Carnival Legend up against the side of a Royal Caribbean ship as it the boat’s captain was maneuvering the ship out of the port last Wednesday night.
There was some broken glass and some minor damage to several opens deck areas and railings of the Legend, but neither boat suffered any serious damage, a Carnival spokeswoman said. No one was hurt, although many were rattled what could best be described as a cruise-ship fender bender.
