Carnival Cruise Lines will be increasing their prices by 5% for all summer 2010 sailings.

Chief Executive Gerry Cahill said “While pricing has not fully recovered to 2008 levels, we are increasing prices and will implement an across-the-board increase effective from 22nd March 2010″.

Royal Caribbean and NCL are going head to head in Barcelona as both Liberty of the Seas and Norwegian Epic will be based there from summer 2011.

Carnival officials have confirmed that their ship Carnival Legend ‘bumped’ into Royal Caribbean’s Enchantment of the Seas, which was docked at Cozumel in Mexico, last Wednesday 30th September 2009.

Mixed with rock music from Boston, Pink Floyd, Van Halen, Rush, and Styx,  Carnival Dream will give innovative choreographed laser shows on the lido deck featuring smoke machines and a 70,000 watts music system.

Carnival has decided to wave goodbye to the typical cruise ship Internet Cafe. On it’s debut from October 2009 Carnvial Dream will provide 36 “kiosks’ spread over Decks 3,4 and 5 providing free access to ship-specific information portal and social networking site. The one aspect that remains at a cost will be surfing the web.
