Grandeur of the Seas is to be based in Palma de Mallorca from Summer 2011. It is the first Royal Caribbean cruise ship to do so, with 7 & 14night cruises going on sale from March 2010.

Whilst Carnival Cruise Lines are poo pooing the themed ‘Cougar‘ cruise, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Lines have jumped right in offering trips in May and December 2010.
Royal Caribbean has launched a tagging system for three to 11-year-olds in a move that coincides with the launch of Oasis of the Seas.
Further to our recent blog on Oasis of the Seas arriving in Miami, Royal Caribbean have put a new twist on maritime tradition. They have chosen seven godmothers, rather than the traditional one, to represent the seven signature neighbourhoods onboard Oasis of the Seas. Each of the seven godmothers was chosen because they personify strength of character, the spirit of giving and are role models for men, women and children alike.

Whilst Royal Caribbean is making inroads into a more international cruise customer market (not just American) they are now going to take another look at the gratuity system.
Carnival officials have confirmed that their ship Carnival Legend ‘bumped’ into Royal Caribbean’s Enchantment of the Seas, which was docked at Cozumel in Mexico, last Wednesday 30th September 2009.
